Required course for all NRES majors. Will be taught Fall Semester, 2006, in Room W-109 Turner Hall, MWF 11:00-11:50 am.

Course Objective:

Provide the student with a basic understanding of and appreciation for the chemical processes occurring in the atmosphere, surface and ground waters, and soils and sediments. Emphasis will be placed on learning basic chemical principles and on their application to processes and events that contribute to pollution.
