Mössbauer Spectroscopy -- Variable-temperature Web Research, Inc./Janis Research, Inc., Model SHI-805 Closed-cycle Refrigerator (CCR) Cryostat, Operating from 4 to 300 K.
UV-Visible Spectroscopy -- Varian Cary 5 with diffuse and specular reflectance, flow-through, and fiber-optic probe features.
Infrared Spectroscopy -- Midac Model 2000 Fourier-transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer with multiple- and single-bounce attentuated total reflectance (ATR) and praying mantis diffuse reflectance accessories.
X-ray Diffraction -- Scintag PAD V automated diffractometer.
Atomic Absorption -- Varian Model 220A atomic absorption spectrometer with autosampler.
Controlled-atmosphere Liquid Exchanger -- Apparatus designed and built by Professor Stucki to enable the removal of oxygen from solutions and the transfer of solutions to/from samples without exposure to atmospheric oxygen.
Metrohm 916 Ti-Touch - a compact titration system for volumetric titration equipped with an external dosing drive 800 Dosino unit.
